Standard EPSE Restrictions
Note: “Restriction Removal” indicates that these groups of students are now allowed to register.
- Initial restriction: Specialization SPED (including graduate students), EYED, and IDSC; Program BA, specialization EDUC, emphasis SPED; BEDS, BEEM, CIDSC
- Restriction will be removed for DEDU on March 11 after 12:00 pm Pacific Time.
- Restriction will be removed for UNCL and EDUC graduate students; BKIN (including BKIN Minor), BA/BSC students with PSYC specializations, and BSC Integrated Science students and students in the Faculty of Medicine, including Rehabilitation Sciences in year: >=3 on March 18 after 12:00 pm Pacific Time.
- Restriction will be removed for 3rd and 4th year students and “other” graduate students on March 25 after 12:00 pm Pacific Time.
Courses with Non-Standard Restrictions
Course: EPSE 317 Development & Exceptionality in the Regular Classroom
Restrictions: BEDS, BEEM, DEDU and Education students only. No other restriction additions will be made.
Course: EPSE 348: Family-Centred Practice for Children with Special Needs
Restrictions:
- DEDU with one of these specializations: SPED, IDSC, or EYED;Program BA, specialization EDUC, emphasis SPED; or in one of these programs: CIDSC, BEDS, BEEM,MA with one of these specializations: ECED or SPED -OR- in one of these programs: MED with one of these specializations: ECED or SPED.
- Restriction will be removed for BA/BSC in year: >=3 with one of these specializations: PSYC; BKIN; UNCL on March 18 after 12:00 pm Pacific Time.
- No removal of any other restrictions.
Course: EPSE 403: Education of Students with Development Disabilities in Inclusive Settings
Restrictions: Standard steps 1-3. No removal of restrictions for 3rd & 4th year students
Restriction Removal Dates: Same as Standard but no removal of general 3rd & 4th year students
Other notes: No waitlist. Pre-approved elective for the Diploma in Early Years Education and the Diploma in Education - Infant Development and Supported Child Development
Course: EPSE 406: Typical & Atypical Infant/Child Development
Restrictions:
- DEDU with one of these specializations: SPED, IDSC, or EYED;Program BA, specialization EDUC, emphasis SPED; or in one of these programs: CIDSC, BEDS, BEEM, MA with one of these specializations: ECED or SPED -OR- in one of these programs: MED with one of these specializations: ECED or SPED.
- Restriction will be removed for BA/BSC in year: >=3 with one of these specializations: PSYC; BKIN; and UNCL on March 18 after 12:00 pm Pacific Time.
- No removal of any other restrictions.

Course: EPSE 449: Education of Students with Autism
Restrictions: Standard steps 1-3. No removed of restrictions for 3rd & 4th year students
Restriction Removal Dates: Same as Standard but no removal of general 3rd & 4th year students

Course: EPSE 483: Reading and Interpreting Research in Education
Other notes: Will be opened to all undergraduate students on March 25 after 12:00 pm Pacific Time.
